Thank you so much for the Hood River break down! I used to live in PDX and now live in Bend. I want to love Hood River but I never feel like I have things to do when I visit. Now I have more spots on my list!
Sounds like you won the lottery (I LOVE Bend). Totally get what you're saying about Hood River. I really started falling in love with the area when I discovered the wineries. We also make a habit of going apple picking (Kiyokawa Family Orchards) every fall. It's a treat!
